The second annual Maui Jim OceanFest takes place on West Maui at Kaʻanapali Beach on June 4 & 5. Premier ocean sports athletes, from around the globe, compete for $40,000 in prize money. Teams and individuals participate in an ocean-lifeguard-style event that focuses on a wide-range of international and Hawaiian-style ocean sports. The lifeguard-style sprint races include swimming, paddle boarding, stand-up paddling (SUP), 1-person outrigger canoe, Surfski and elite mixed events that combine disciplines similar to a triathlon.
Races will be under five minutes in length and are sure to create drama and excitement for contestants and spectators alike. Men & Women’s races are divided into open and age group categories and all athletes are encouraged to enter multiple races to accrue cumulative individual and team points.
