The 34th annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival happening this week from June 11-14 highlights interactive wine tasting seminars from the celebrated wine regions of Willamette and Napa, a visit with Women Winemakers and sports stars turned winemakers, a focus on Zinfandel and new up and comers “West Coast Game Changers.”
Celebrity chefs Michael Mina and Charlie Palmer will entertain guests with a wine dinner and cooking demonstration. Signature evening galas include The Grand Tasting on Friday at Montage Kapalua Bay and the famed Seafood Festival on Sunday that will showcase the culinary delights of Maui’s top restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua’s Beach House lawn.
The Kapalua Wine & Food Festival was established in 1981 by the not-for-profit Kapalua Wine Society. The festival was created to educate and foster the appreciation of culinary exploration, fine wine and specifically Hawaii ’s culinary products and purveyors as well as showcase Maui’s natural beauty and promote tourism to the island.
